Hi, I’m Kaci, owner and lead planner behind Kaci Danae Events!
People often ask what inspired me to become an event planner, and my answer is always the same: I was raised by remarkable women who showed me the power of hospitality, creativity, and bringing people together to gather.
From a young age, I had the privilege of learning from family members who built meaningful experiences for others. My grandmother and aunt owned a restaurant and catering company, where at just 10 years old, I proudly served guests slices of fresh caramel apple pie and Coca-Cola at my very first “job.” Another grandmother, a florist with an incredible eye for beauty, could create breathtaking arrangements with ease, while my great-grandmother crafted beautiful wedding cakes that brought people together to celebrate life’s biggest moments.
Then there’s my mom. Though she’ll be the first to tell you she doesn’t love to cook, she taught me what true hospitality looks like through the thoughtful, intentional way she gathers and cares for people. She is the most thoughtful host I know, with an incredible eye for design and a natural ability to create spaces that feel both beautiful and welcoming. Watching the way she effortlessly brought people together taught me that meaningful experiences are built not only through details, but through how people feel in a space.
Watching the women in my life work behind the scenes to create memorable experiences inspired a passion in me from an early age. I quickly realized that event planning wasn’t just about logistics or beautiful details — it was about creating meaningful moments and spaces where people feel celebrated, connected, and cared for.
People often ask, “Why event planning? Isn’t it stressful?” The truth is, I’ve always found calm in the chaos. Bringing moving pieces together, solving problems behind the scenes, and helping people feel fully present during meaningful moments is where I thrive.
Over the years, I’ve built experience across day-of coordination, wedding planning, venue management, and corporate and academic events — including my time as an Event Manager at Stanford University. In 2020, I officially launched Kaci Danae Events to combine my passion for thoughtful hospitality with seamless execution.
What began as wedding coordination has grown into a full range of planning services, from weddings and milestone celebrations to corporate and community events.
